Our Aim

The health and beauty benefits of honey and beeswax are tried, tested and well documented. My hope for Kittens 'n' Kads is to offer a growing range of beeswax-based cosmetic products.

What We Do

Original eco-friendly beeswax product company. I use the finest organic beeswax. All production is completed by me, the process is low impact and sustainable.

From healthy cared for bees all the way to the product, Kittens ‘n’ Kads is made with pure intention and ingredients. The beeswax is made by nature’s worker bees. No artificial scents or colours are required.

Sustainability

Almost 300 million tons of plastic is being produced every year. A lot of that plastic is necessary to make useful things that last. But all too often, the plastic we use ends up in the wrong place.

Right now, our oceans are filling up with plastic that degrades into smaller and smaller pieces of microplastics. If nothing changes, by 2050 there will be more plastic waste in our oceans than fish.

Our oceans need a new wave of sustainable solutions. And – just as it’s always been – that change is being driven by people.

The packaging is a biodegradable and microplastic-free material made entirely from renewable sources and FSC-certified wood.

Making the Balm

I love making as many of my personal care items in order to cut down on toxins in our home and on our bodies.

If you're looking for a homemade balm that will nourish your skin, look no further. My recipes are super nourishing, super versatile and super simple. And I've updated it with essential oils suitable for your skin's needs.

Ingredients

Hand Balms

Tattoo Salves

• Beeswax

• Essential oils – Vetiver and Geranium Bourbon

Benefits

Murumuru butter – Fatty acid and pro-vitamin help restore elasticity to damaged, ageing skin. Heals dry cracked skin, eczema and psoriasis.

Hemp oil – Regenerates skins protective layer, long-lasting moisture, skin calming, suitable for all skin types.

Calendula – Speed healing, improve skin appearance, lower inflammation, antioxidant. Good for dry chapped or split skin.

Jojoba oil – Fights infections, contains vitamin E and vitamin B complex. Suits all skin types. Works as a good cleanser, balances oils, treats skin disorders, reduces inflammation.

Beeswax – Natural skin protectant that soothes and hydrates. Protects against environmental damage, for example, traffic pollution and cigarette smoke. Contains vitamin A and soothes itching.

Essential oils

Myrrh – Anti-inflammatory, improve skin tone elasticity, heals sun damage, chapped skin, rashes and eczema.

Vetiver – reduces inflammation, eliminates scars, prevents bacterial infections and speeds up healing

Geranium bourbon – Reduces irritation, cell growth, wound healing

Cedarwood – Prevents infections, reduces inflammation, insect repellent, fights fungal infections, reduces skin irritation.
